A few days ago .. the man’s mother was in asking how i was doing..? and asked .. how come i still hurt since i don’t do much heavy stuff. Now what kind of question is that..? Of course i still do heavy stuff.. and even if i don’t, if i still hurt.. well.. i still hurt right..? that kinda question was that..??

The grammie won some money on bingo tonite.. but guess what .. i had teased her .. about how much she would be giving the kid. But i’m pretty sure.. that she didn’t even think of it at all. And she didn’t just win $100 .. she won quite a huge amount. Where i come from.. if grammie had a big winning.. grammie would be giving at least $50. But the man and i joked.. that i wouldn’t be more than $5 .. so we’ll see this weekend.. when we visit.
My MIL had msned me the nite before to inform me that she needed a ride from the hospital at 10.30am. We are not usually ready by 10.30am to go outta the house.. and the MIL knows the reason. But it had always been this way.. even though the MIL got a driving licence.. she still won’t drive.
Lucky for me.. the man isn’t the same as those Asian men I know.. who would drop everything .. and go fly out to fetch his mother. Else i would have been really upset. But my MIL huh..! she loves to inconvenience the man.
Yes..! the very first time the MIL gave the kid 5 bucks without me having to get the kid to ask for it. That’s a surprised..!! a pleasant one.. but really .. they should be giving more money to the kid for savings.. don’t you think.. since they don’t buy alot of things for her.
I was just telling the man .. that his mother only calls .. when she needs something. Yup..!!! that’s right..! like today.. she started to MSN me. in the store.. and started chatting all because she wanted to find out if the man had gone to the bank for her.
You see .. this was the first i’ve heard that the man needed to go to the bank for his mother. Well.. if he had asked him.. on Sunday.. when we visited.. you would think she would MSN “him” instead of me.. to find out right..?? Messenger gal ka..?? plus .. she would never chat unless she wanted something done. *sigh*
The FIL had said that the MIL was gonna be in town today.. so we had told the kid .. that Grammie was visiting.. and in the end .. she didn’t come.. nor did she call or leave a message that she wasn’t coming. Thus, making the kid all upset.. and asking why. *sigh* .. what can i say..?? Grammie is slacker grammie..??
My MIL .. kept telling the man.. that she needed to go home.. for the garden.. when she was staying at my place.. when i was in the hospital. But yesterday.. she was in town the whole day instead of helping in the garden.. and going to play bingo. What about the peas.. then..?? which she had kept saying it was important..?? *sigh*.. what does it tell you .?? I donch even wanna go there..!
That my MIL donch feel that she needs to give alot of help to me.. because i ain’t the daughter.. and just the daughter in law. But isn’t the man the son..?? so if she makes things easier for me.. and i recover sooner.. wouldn’t it means.. better for her son..??
But still i guess .. her probably perspective.. is she already helped enough.. quite different from a mother and daughter..?? or with a good asian mom..?? of course i can’t depend on mine.. for she would never fly all the way to Canada. She doesn’t even like taking the escalators..!!
Yes.. my MIL came to helped me .. the second time.. when i went into an emergency operation.. but she never failed to tell me each day.. or to the man.. that she needed to get home.. to pick the peas. But shouldn’t the kid be more important than the peas..?? shouldn’t we be more important..?? and because of her needing to go back.. once again..i forced myself to get outta the hospital.. sooner than i can. It was very stressful. I hope i never need my MIL’s help ever again.
Came home from the hospital.. and you can guessed as much as I .. that the house was in a huge mess.. dirty .. and smelly.. and bad plants not thrown out at all. The man had to take care of me.. the kid.. and yet.. gotta clean the house.. and do the laundry.. and mop the floor.
Surely, as a mother and grandmother.. you would try to keep the place somewhat clean. .that way.. the son don’t have to do alot.. when he gets home with a sick spouse..?? no..?? i guessed not..! my MIL’s perception of help.. is coming to be with the kid.. and that’s it.
