The in laws came for abit to visit .. with some organic fruits and peas and corns for the kid. But they didn’t come on purpose to visit her.. but more like one needs to go bingo.. the other wants to deliver vegies. And of course.. the uncle .. who must be out either to get booze.. or just get his welfare cheques. They were in the store for less than an hour i think. No babysitter and no visits.. and they want us to go visit. NO way..!! the more i think about it.. the more i think i don’t wanna go.

Luckily the grandmother came to visit on Wednesday.. after the blood incident. Otherwise, i would have been real dissappointed. But guess what..?? she even bought a present for her.. but could it be because the grandaunt bought something too..??

The grandparents didn’t even call once nor asked about how the kid was doing .. since she was going to the hospital the day before.. to be put to sleep. Pissed is the understatement of the year.. i am feeling. Only one grand kid.. and not showing concern about her.. nor offer to help.. with looking after her.. since she will be ill does really make me think.. why the hell.. did i choose to stay put in this country.. instead of moving home.

We didn’t go to the kid’s grandparents place today.. because my tummy had been acting up. But the most upsetting and disappointing thing is.. they never even bothered to call nor asked us online. At least they should try and come visit the grandkid .. every other week or something.. but nope.. they rather not see her.. than to drive to town.. ! go figure..!

Smokie Fudge

The in-laws love to make fudge for the kid when she visit. Last Sunday .. the man complained that the fudge smelled of smoke . because my in-laws are smokers. It was so bad.. he had to remove the fudge from the plate that my mother-in-law had given to us.. to bring the fudge back into a plastic bag. A week later.. it still smelled of smoke. That is how horrid it is.

They Didn’t Pay Me

We went out to visit the grandparents.. even though we would have loved to stay home.. because the kid wasn’t feel too hot. And what happened..?? even making sure the kid thank the grandparents for the gift.. they didn’t even give me their share of it. Wonderful..! oh well.. to hell with the 20 bucks.. i ain’t begging for it.

The in-laws only sent one message to me today.. to ask if we were gonna visit. I didn’t reply.. because they should asked the son not me. When i didn’t reply.. they didn’t ask again either. If they had so wanted to see the grandkid. .then they should be more persistent or they should come visit. But i didn’t expect that they would .. because they don’t like to come out town.

So in the end.. we didn’t chat.. nor did we visit. I had asked.. the kid if she wanted to visit her grandparents.. but she said.. no because she didn’t want her hair to smell.. ! hilarious..! but what can i say.. when we smell of smoke.. even when they don’t smoke ..when we visit.

The Babysitter’s Parents

It is sad.. that even the sitter’s parents visit the kid more than her own grandparents. And for every little thing we do for them, they remember to buy a small gift for the kid. Wherelse the grandparents.. does nothing.. even though we go outta the way .. to help them out in anything they need. Sad..!

No Gifts Except Christmas

I was just complaining to the man.. that the kid doesn’t get no presents throughout the year from her grandparents.. except Christmas. To me… it is so strange.. because isn’t that what grandparents do..?? spoil their grandkids..??

One year, the grandmother gave the kid.. a few bucks in a card .. for her birthday.. because everyone else did.. and she had nothing prepared for the kid. A few coins..!! OMG..!! i don’t know if they are going to be this way.. when the kid is older..?? because I am sure.. she is going to understand the value of those few coins. It just doesn’t seems right.. that they do so little for the kid.. and she is the only grandchild.

Smelling Awful

As much as we would like to do the right thing.. by visiting the grandparents every weekend.. we dread going because we always come back smelling so awful.. that we have to change all our clothes immediately. And the kid needs to have her hair washed immediately.

The try not to smoke in the house when the kid is visiting.. but most times.. they cannot stand it for a very long time.. and they still smoke.. if we are not in the same room. I know the man don’t like it.. nor do I.. but they still do it. *shrug*
